On behalf of Youth Achievement Foundation (YAF). I would like to thank you and your company for the generous grants that have made it possible for them to reach SO many disadvantaged children in my Senate District. The YAF made a difference for 30 students at Williams Elementary School in Garland,Texas this past spring, by providing a one-on-on mentoring/tutoring program for each student.

While our resources continue to be stretched for public education, the YAF program not only provides support for public school teachers, it makes a difference in the lives of the individual students. Such a difference cannot be made by government. This program is an excellent example of what the private sector can do when people meet the needs of other people.

I hope that you will continue to support this program and others like it. The generosity of Walgreen Company is greatly appreciated.
