Youth ACHIEVEMENT FOUNDATION

Typically, our students are failing at least one course or has scored poorly on their Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills test.

Our mentoring sessions are one night per week and last for about two hours.

Our programs are individually tailored to meet the requirements of each student.

Academic tutoring historically focuses on math and reading assignments, but we are free to address current needs.

Mentors are encouraged to use flash cards along with additional reading and writing assignments.

Our primary goal is to develop good citizens. Therefore, time is set aside each night for a character talk.

During these discussions we encourage our students to set meaningful and achievable goals for both school and life.

Youth ACHIEVEMENT FOUNDATION

Character Talks focus on topics like honesty, loyalty, hard work, courage and respect for other people and for their property.
